Originally I started working with the F idea and trying to make it work in a way that was more appropriate to the company. I started making it a bit smoother and more like handwriting, but it still doesn't seem to work as a logo for the company.
At this point I decided to try and come up with a few more ideas that go in slightly different ideas to have a bit more to work with.
Some of these ideas seem to have a bit more potential than others. The banner idea is kind of reminiscent of masts or the banners that fly behind some planes, so it is relevant to the concept and could look good in a logo design. Using an actual plane symbol is, although obvious, pretty effective in communicating the comany very quickly. After all, fly windies is not the best name for suggesting the kind of business that it is. I don't think the propeller ideas work particularly well, but there may be some potential in the crest-like idea with the palm trees. These will need to be explored in a bit more detail.
